Charles A. Young

is the choral director of Paso Robles High School
in California's Beautiful Central Coast.

He has been directing the Bella Voce since 1994 and under his direction they have moved from a one dimensional Show Choir to a Multifaceted and diverse group of young women. Mr. Young has adjudicated middle school choral festivals for four years, Mr. Young has served the California chapter of American Choral Directors Association Board of directors as the Coastal Region representative. He worked for The California Arts Project as a teacher mentor, instructing classroom teachers how to add the arts to their lesson plans. He was also a member of Vocal Arts Ensemble that competed in the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and served on its board of directors.

Mr. Young travelled to Eastern Europe and Russia in 1990 with the California State University Chico, A Cappella Choir. He is looking forward to revisiting and singing in Poland. Mr. Young holds his Bachelor of Arts in Music from CSU, Chico and his credential to teach from CSU, Stanislaus. Mr. Young is a dedicated and proud husband and father of two.
