Description Music Workshop / Educational Program
The Workshop will include 4 days of master classes, with six hours of lessons daily, including time for individual rehearsals. The pieces to be performed during a final concert in a prestigious Viennese concert venue will be co-ordinated with your teachers and performed together. The Music Workshop includes visits and excursions to private homes, palaces, museums and concert halls related to famous composers, as well as music history lectures. The high-light will be a one day workshop with the world famous Vienna Boys Choir. More information about the Vienna Boys Choir

Enjoy and work a day in the life of the world famous
"Vienna Boys´ Choir"
(Open to all choirs - daily on request from Monday - Friday at the Palais
Augarten, 1020 Vienna.)
During the months of July and August the workshop
series will take place at the summer camp of the Vienna Boys´
Choir in Sekirn at lake Wörthersee in Carinthia/Austria (detailed
program, on request).
Program
09:00 a.m.
Arrival of your choir at the Palais Augarten. One of the head conductors
of the Vienna Boys´ Choir will welcome you and your choir.
09:30 a.m. - 10:45 a.m.
Workshop of all selected music pieces with the Guest choir, the Guest
conductor and the head conductor of the Vienna Boys´ Choir. (*after
complete registration we will send you the scores of the selected music
pieces (approx. 30 minutes), which should be studied prior to the workshop
and will be conducted at the Workshop.)
10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Coffee- or Tea-break. At this time you may change into your uniforms.
11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Attend a private rehearsal of the Vienna Boys´ Choir with the
head conductor and learn the unique technique of teaching and voice
training from them.
11:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Combined rehearsal with the head conductor, your choir and the Vienna
Boys´ Choir - here you will rehearse all selected music pieces
which you will perform afterwards in a short private concert.
12:30 p.m. - 01:00 p.m.
Private Concert at the Palais Augarten with the Vienna Boys´ Choir
(The combined music pieces will be conducted by both the Vienna Boys´
Choir Head conductor and the Guest conductor.)
01:00 p.m. - 01:15 p.m.
Photo session with the Vienna Boys´ Choir and the Guest choir.
01:15 p.m. - 02:00p.m.
Lunch with the Vienna Boys´ Choir.
02:00 p.m. - 03:00 p.m.
Conducted tour through the conservatory and home of the Vienna Boys´
Choir including historical background and future goals. After the tour,
each participant will receive from the head conductor of the Vienna
Boys´ Choir, a certificate of participation.
