Anna Grabowska-Borys graduated the Karol Lipinski Wroclaw Academy of Music (choir conducing - degree with honors, opera-symphonic conducting and theory of music) followed by postgraduate degree in Choirmasters at the Bydgoszcz Academy of Music.
During her studies she received Scholarships funded by Polish Minister of Culture and Vice-Rector of Wroclaw Academy of Music. At this time she became laureate of The IIIrd International Choir Conductor Competition - Towards Polyphony.
Anna Grabowska-Borys is a cofounder, art director and conductor of Wroclaw University of Economics Ars Cantand. AC for it’s beginnig (15 years) is the laureate of international choir competitions in Poland and abroad, takes part in most important artistic venues in Wroclaw and it’s appreciated for musicality and good quality sound. Ars Cantandi’s already given concerts in Spain, Romania, Belarus, Ukraine, Macedonia, Italy, Germany and Greece.
For 15 years Anna is a teacher of music theory, orchestra and ensembles in Grazyna Bacewicz’s Music School. As a conductor she cooperated with most of the Wroclaw University youth and children choirs.
10 years ago she became the Chief of Wroclaw Opera Choir, which has prepared for about 50 premieres (from baroque operas to modern times pieces).
For her activities and successful work Anna was awarded individual prizes (for best conductor during choir competitions, teaching and choir’s activities).
